There are so many ways to upcycle a retired wine barrel. We know that giving old stuff a new life instead of throwing them away is ecological and important.
As many ways there are to reuse/repurpose something, people can use old wine barrels to decorate their homes and outdoors. For example, they can be converted to dart boards, planters, wine cabinets, tables, sinks, chairs and so on.
We were introduced to Neil Wilson’s ingenuity and knew right away his superb craftsmanship was something we wanted to showcase. He purchases the barrels from a Niagara-area vineyard and creates high-quality home accessories and furniture from them. Everything from candle sticks, wine cases, wine racks, wall clocks, coffee & side tables and more.
We are very happy to have some of Neils’ work for sale. We have up-curving and down-curving tea light holders in medium and light-coloured stains. All prices shown include HST.
If there is something you see in the examples shown but might want a variation of it (such as a medium or very dark stain), please feel free to contact Neil to discuss details of your own customised pieces. He can be reached via email at Neil Wilson. He has produced pieces found on high-end consumer sites for half of what you would pay at the “designer” stores.
